How does this letter-form communicate its location?
Islam is ingrained in the culture here and along with it comes a huge sense of pride and community. Jordanians are literally some of the kindest, most generous and caring people you will ever meet. Whilst the typography on this mosque isn't easily read (there are beautiful examples of the blocky "Square Kufic" script above the gates and more elaborate Ruqaa calligraphy on the welcome sign), it's also not designed to be - it helps create a sense of tradition, comfort and welcoming which in turn brings together the community.
