How does this letter-form communicate its location?

The high-contrast serif type emerging beneath the painted facade is a black uppercase serif font with a shading embellishment. The shading lines on each letter create depth and emphasis on each letter. Even though the typeface does not have historic value, the typeface letter architecture is influenced by its history. The first influence is noticed through shading embellishments and details from the 20s art deco scene. The second observation is connected to the Stone Gate engraving by incorporating and reinventing the unique letter 'A' V cross embellishments. In this example the urbanisation of this area treasuring the past and looking forward to the future.
