How does this letter-form communicate its location?

The sign is very faded but I have found a similar sign and although it’s a different format you can see the silhouette that’s still on this sign of the different letterforms. For the ‘guaranteed’ it has a really old calligraphy style to it with snake tongue embellishments and Old English black block lettering too. It immediately tells you about the area given that its related to boots and Northamptonshire is historically a shoe manufacturing area. The letterforms are faint but there is an imbued characteristic of vernacular through the style and form of the layout that reinforces a sleepy worn-out village that was once central to manufacturing and workmanship.
