How does this letter-form communicate its location?

The Mill, is a grade 2 listed building in the historic town of Wordsley, between the iconic red glass cone and museum, scenic canal and town centre. Now a desirable apartment building, its typographical features demonstrate endeavours towards historical preservation and gentrification in order to attract younger professional residents. The rugged brick walled surface offers allusion to 19th century hand painted signage, reinforcing the locales industrial heritage of brick making for houses and kilns for glass and metal production, due to the rich properties of local clays. The types transitional qualities of vertical stress, higher contrast and vertical head serifs contribute to an atmosphere of cultural nostalgia, whilst it’s white simplicity and occupation of vertical space frames it in a contemporary way which emphasises the properties architectural stature.
