How does this letter-form communicate its location?
I hail from Chennai, Tamil Nadu and this is an emblem of the government of Tamil Nadu. This was designed by artist Krishna Rao in 1949. Since Tamil Nadu is known for its temples and religious sites, Krishna Rao decided to incorporate the temple exterior as part of the emblem. This is the only state emblem that has the Indian flag and Hindu temple tower also known as "gopuram", on the seal. "Truth Alone Triumphs" is the state motto of Tamil Nadu. The emblem also contains the Lion Capital of Ashoka which is another iconic symbol that represents my country.
