How does this letter-form communicate its location?
Blink and you’ll miss it, this tiny weathered engraving is located in the same area as the ghost sign, so it is no doubt it is the 18th or 19th century. What's different is that instead of being painted onto the wall, it was engraved into the brick. It may have even been a press into the brick. Either way, an effort was even made to create it and to even include intricate Serif details. I was unable to find the meaning of this, but it could be the brick manufacturer or initials of the building's initial owner. The new purpose of the building is to an independent book store.
