How does this letter-form communicate its location?

Hippodrome – The building itself is grade II listed by English Heritage and retains many of the original features to. The font style is similar to Art Deco type is immediately recognizable for its unique visual characteristics–its geometric rounded shapes combined with elongated letters and vertical decorative line details. Art Deco is probably one of the most recognizable art movements of the 20th century. Its style is distinctive and unmistakeable, with aesthetics that instantly recall images of the Roaring 20s, black and white Hollywood glamour, and smoke-filled jazz halls. Alhough this is not geometric, it still has the look and feel and with the design elements steeped in 1920s sophistication. Elegant and graceful, this font embodies classic 20s and 30s Hollywood and flapper-friendly jazz clubs.
