How does this letter-form communicate its location?
This wayfinding sign is on of many dotted around the central shopping area of Bury St. Edmunds. The ‘Prospect Row’ style is a modern one, which similar to the Impact typefact. I can imagine was also chosen for it legibility, as it can be seen from far and easily read for those young, old, or tourists where english may not be their first language. For this reason the sign reflects a modern part of Bury, one that has built a shopping centre and one that wan’ts the modernise
