How does this letter-form communicate its location?
Cobden Place began life as a lace factory in the 1800s but fell into dereliction for two decades before being sympathetically renovated in 2013. The building's signage has been painted onto the brick exterior. It uses a decidedly modern typeface, but it has an industrial feel, forming a link to the building's roots (i.e., the industrial nature of the factory itself). Also, the application of the lettering (painted onto the brickwork using black on white) and the structure of the letters themselves give the impression of a tiled surface.
