How does this letter-form communicate its location?

The stonemason lettering near the centre of town really shows the talent and dedication the craftsmen have for their trade that they could have made the font block and into the stone but instead chose to have the lettering come out of the stone in a thin outline even if it fades fast over time because it is something new and different that shows their talent. Circling a sun design made of stone to further depict the “Capital” of the Kingdom of Mourne, the pride in the culture and heritage the town has.
