How does this letter-form communicate its location?

A lorry for hire sign, wired around an electrical pole. This… is a staple throughout Malaysia. Doesn’t matter if you see it in Subang Jaya, Selangor to Georgetown, Penang–these are everywhere. It’s to the point where its colour combination and font choice makes it their own brand, almost. I felt like I had to include this mainly for the fact you’d see this everywhere. Even if it’s not necessarily the best designed, it gets the message across very quickly especially if you’re driving past. In terms of the effectiveness of this method of advertising, can’t say I’ve heard people say they hired movers from a sign on an electric pole.
