How does this letter-form communicate its location?

The diversity of the area and the soul of the place lies in the market that runs along the escalator. All of the signs are hand rendered due to the changing prices of food. They are careful to write both the English and Chinese legibly. Many of the stalls do not write in both languages but the price is always in recognisable numbers as potentially the more Western person will not buy the Chinese fruit and vegetables and vis versa. We are one as we eat but yet we are divided in that.
