How does this letter-form communicate its location?
I found this fascinating example of Round Hand Script, also called English Round Hand, inside a local pub in Ealing called Drapers Arms. At first, I thought Brooks Brothers were the original owners of the pub, and the current owners kept the sign to celebrate its history and hung it on the wall. But as it happens, Brooks Brothers are the oldest and most famous American clothing company, that is still in existsance - they were established in 1818, and even Abraham Lincoln used to buy his suits from there. The pub in Ealing must have bought this vintage sign to emphasise the old charater and history of the place.
