How does this letter-form communicate its location?

This type is found on the front of the Catholic church called “Sankt Theresia” and reads: “Hier ist das Haus Gottes und die Pforte des Himmels» which means "Here is the house of God and the gate of heaven" in English. I chose this example because it is a special type of font called Fraktur. It was the most widely used typeface in German-speaking countries from the mid-16th to the beginning of the 20th century and is a Blackletter font. Therefore, this typography has a traditional and historic, maybe even nostalgic vibe. It seems prestigious because it is engraved in white stone and plated with gold. Most probably it has been renovated recently.
