How does this letter-form communicate its location?

These protest graphics are quite different to each of my other examples, as they are posters rather than signs. These tell quite a different story of Derby to the economic story that most of the other examples of lettering are telling. While perhaps the majority of urban typography is for commercial or informative purposes, this is an example of typography being used to convince people to take action. These Extinction Rebellion posters remind me somewhat of the “nuisance billstickers” of the 19th century, who have flipped the script by bringing back some sense of chaos out of the order of government and institutions.
