How does this letter-form communicate its location?

Parking des Lignons - Ground Marking - Geneva - Switzerland The ground markings in Geneva are used a lot to define the areas where vehicles can be placed in the short or long term. They are also used to define a position and allow the city dweller to better visualize a location. Why did I take this photo as an example? I think this image illustrates well the daily life of a Swiss citizen. Here we like to define areas or give directives like the one in front of you and this is part of our life and our history and over the years we have seen a lot of things evolve.
