How does this letter-form communicate its location?
There is something of the Egyptian hieroglyph in this sign. The gold lettering really stands out as a symbol of wealth and I am wondering if this wasn't a regular high street chain bank but perhaps more for wealthy clientele. The curves are very expressive but somewhat mysterious also . The K in particular looks like a horses hoof at the bottom , itching to move off and ride or a dancer in mid pose. The middle part of the A provides some order and solidity amid the movement implied. It's certainly striking. It represents the town as an independent, innovative place with many cultures and a thriving art scene.
