How does this letter-form communicate its location?

The 1844 London to Brighton railway brought an influx of tourists and visitors which continues to this day. The seaside retreat was established as a place of indulgence and pleasure. Seen through its elaborate architecture such as Prince George’s Pavilion or the Grand Hotel, built with an amalgamation Italian renaissance and classic Victorian styles. I felt that the Victorian carousel, with its intricate hand painted artwork, gold leaf, ornate flourishes, and bright colours still resonates this ideal. It also captures a sad aspect I feel in this city, with its dying art of hand painted signage and old wooden horses.
