How does this letter-form communicate its location?

Once home to an outdoor clothing supplier Baldock, The Abbey Arcades was once visited by The Beatles in 1967 who purchased some jeans when on tour their magic mystery tour and is now home to a treasure trove of independent boutiques. This metal sign reminds me of the warp features in Word that distorts the letters and makes them inconsistent. Really randomly the E sits separately outside of the Arch and the metalling around it has been tailored to fit and both the Y and C look really thin compared to the rest of the font.
