How does this letter-form communicate its location?

A wooden sign above the local flower shop. The font style and the weathering of the text suggest this shop has been here for a few decades. The sign’s cursive text and colour scheme used make the sign look retro and aged. This type of cursive retro font is common in this area and recent gentrification has meant there are more up and coming, edgy vintage style shops in the area.
