How does this letter-form communicate its location?
The main WF Dolman and Son Signage sits above the doorway of the building and is painted in gold. It looks old, possibly because this family run business has been operating since 1919. There’s a stark contrast with a newer, white lit up sign just underneath with a modern font, showing modernisation of the business. The original signage was painted on a wooden plaque and stated ‘cabinet maker and undertaker’ which I’ve found is historically where the business of funeral directors was established, from those who could make both furniture and coffins and moved on to managing the whole process.
