How does this letter-form communicate its location?
Most corner shops or local stores opt for large bold fonts with individual letters attached to the façade of the building. This particular example is interesting in using bold primary colours that are attention-grabbing. Although this is more likely accidental, this choice of typography is still a nod to the historic typography we have seen. The 3D lettering provides the drop shadow we've seen in early 19th-century typography, but the bold sans-serif typeface, even without the 3D lettering, is similar to the typography we have seen on the ghost signs in this area.
