How does this letter-form communicate its location?

Oliver’s Bookshop is a small independent bookshop situated in a popular coastal part of Newcastle - Whitley Bay. It’s a little gem full of second hand and vintage books. It’s hidden in a row of houses and I found it by accident last weekend when I was exploring the city. The shop front is full of character and it looks like something from a Terry Pratchett’s book. The logotype has been hand-drawn and characters are illustrations of men, sitting or standing in different positions, holding various objects creating individual letterforms. I think they could be the owner’s favorite book characters?
