How does this letter-form communicate its location?
This sign was easily missed, as it sits above the sign of an ‘Adnams’ brewery store which was included in my photographs. The handwritten, calligraphic style is unique not just to Bury but it most towns, so the fact it’s here must say something about Bury. It seems old and of latin origin. Once again a theme that emerges is that Bury is not afraid to showcase its history through its typography in the street.
