How does this letter-form communicate its location?
I chose to look at this example for its heritage approach to looking at Banbury, which has been a Market Town for over 900 years. This typography is on the side of a building thats currently a Recruitment Agency, I find the contrast of these businesses amusing, for the market would have created full lines of production and distribution employment and now employment has been completely corporatised into its own sector and hard to find. I find the upkeep of this type on the building a really strong contrast to the rest of the signage in Banbury, which makes me question if this has been prioritised because of its feeling of giving Banbury points of interest to entice the middle class in, therefore gentrifying the town.
