How does this letter-form communicate its location?
Maboneng Precinct is getting a revival, as I stated, and the buildings and type around it prove this. The giant lettering hanging overhead is modern, serif type, white and clean and minimalist, evoking a sense of contemporary evolution. Around it, splashes of color and identity rise up, with the old buildings beginning to slowly catch up. Whether it is cultural art, or vibrant colors, the area gets its own identity, a mix between weathered brick, bright color, and African art. The giant Maboneng label even glows at night, perfect for festivals and parties and a fun-centric stroll through the precinct.
