How does this letter-form communicate its location?

I have previously mentioned Aylesbury garden town status which means the government have invested money into our growth and redevelopment. MIYA is a Japanese restaurant that was introduced late in 2019 as part of the Waterside development. It has taken up residence in the old police station, of which there is no remnants. The letterforms that feature on the sign are extremely thin and modern, giving it an up market feel; which is also helped by the glass the sign is printed on. The apex on the M and A are both rounded, and the Y has a very small descender; these particular features all contribute to making the type feel short and fat.
