How does this letter-form communicate its location?

The Glasgow Film Theatre was originally called The Cosmo and opened its doors in 1939. It was Scotland's first arts cinema and only the second purpose-built arthouse in Britain at the time. It is a category B listed building, however they managed to add a third screen in 2014. The lettering on the façade reflects the 1930s Art Deco and Art Moderne style of the time it was built. The classiness of the signage reflects the programme of sophisticated arthouse films you can still see within the theatre.
