How does this letter-form communicate its location?

At a glance, I did not realise that the signage was of any particular interest as it was viewed from afar. Upon closer inspection, I was pleasantly surprised and impressed to find that the chinese characters were made up of very small ceramic tiles that must have taken a long time to create due to the flowing nature of the calligraphic strokes being an unwieldy composition to create using square tiles. They complemented well with the Peranakan-style shophouse tiles that surrounded the signage. It is now converted into a bar simply called “Druggists”, choosing to preserve some of the heritage.
