How does this letter-form communicate its location?

It is a logo of a speciality shop of Creamy chestnut cake. Namba is also famous for trendy shops, and many modern Kanji logo is used as an image. This shop called ‘Kuriho’ is a new creamy chestnut cake shop. If Kuriho is written in the standard typography, it is ‘栗歩’, so it has no round shape within this Kanji, but this logo makes it looks like a chestnut by changing its shape. We catch Kanji as a text, but at the same time, we capture them as images. Modern logos and advertisements use such Kanji’s features tactically for attracting viewers.
